Tiverton Constitutional Club

  • The Tiverton Con’ Club (New By-Law) realises that social media and networking websites have become a regular part of everyday life and that many people enjoy membership of such sites. However, we are also aware that these sites can become negative and even inflammatory in comments and care must be taken not to breach our confidentiality Policy or offend members, club officers, visitors, or suppliers, when using these services.
  • For the purposes of this Policy, it’s any social media of any type of interactive online media that allows parties to communicate instantly with each other or to share data in a public forum.


  • Members must not make derogatory comments about Tiverton Constitutional Club, officers and staff or Members via social media.
  • Breach confidentiality, for example by: –
  • Giving away any information related to members including personal details.
  • Discussing Tiverton Con’ Clubs internal workings (such as deals that it is doing with a member/visitor/supplier) or its future business plans that are not public knowledge
  • Breach copyright, for example by: –
  • Using someone else’s images or written content without permission
  • Do anything that could be considered discriminatory against, or bullying or harassment of, any member, for example, by: –
  • Making offensive or derogatory comments or discriminating or inciting others to discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation
  • Using social media to bully another a member of the Tiverton Con’ Club
  • Posting images that are discriminatory or offensive or links to such content
  • All members should bear in mind that information they share through social networking applications, even if they are on private spaces are still subject to copyright, data protection and freedom of information and the data protection act.
  • If you believe that there has been an offensive comment made about Tiverton Con Club, another member, a visitor or a supplier/customer then you must report this to the Honorary Secretary immediately. If you think that a member is being bullied or someone of the Tiverton Con’ Club, or a visitor) has posted a comment that offends/upsets you then you must report this to the Honorary Secretary as soon as possible and the matter will be investigated.
  • If you make a complaint that you know to be untrue, or give evidence that you know to be untrue, this may lead to disciplinary action being taken against you. The Detailed by-law policy is published on the club’s web site www.tivertonconclub.co.uk

A Recent Charity Event with Simon Bates

Charity Event with Theresa at the Tiverton Con Club - Simon Bates is a radio presenter. Between 1976 and 1993 he worked at BBC Radio 1, presenting the station's weekday mid-morning show for most of this period. He later became a regular presenter on Classic FM. He hosted the breakfast show on Smooth Radio from January 2011 until March 2014, and took on the same role at BBC Radio Devon from January 2015 until January 2017. He was the first presenter of BBC Two's Food and Drink programme in 1982.

Popular Town Centre Club

Tiverton Constitutional Club is a popular town centre club for all, situated in the town centre Bampton Street.

We offer a number of fine beers and wines at very reasonable prices and are open from 11am Monday to Saturday until late. Sunday opens at 11.30am

The club has two pool tables and two snooker tables. The cost of playing is extremely affordable and well supported.

Regular entertainment and quiz nights, games evenings, draws bingo and raffles ensure that there is always plenty going on in the Club.

The Club supports local charities and holds various fund raising events.

We have friendly staff and is known for its relaxed atmosphere. Only members, guests may use the club and entry is controlled by a signing in process for guests.

Tiverton Con' Club is run for the members by an elected committee, president and chairman, our president being Neil Parish MP, Member of Parliament for Tiverton and Honiton

There is always a good selection of beers, wines and speciality gins.

We also offer club spirits at a reasonable price and offer best value in Tiverton.

There is very often a free buffet, including Sunday afternoon music held on the last Sunday of the month
